WiBiCharge officially launched in Brussels on 17–18 June 2026, bringing together 16 organisations from across Europe to advance the next generation of wireless bidirectional charging for electric vehicles.
Coordinated by ERTICO – ITS Europe, the consortium will develop, integrate and demonstrate user-centric wireless charging solutions for light-duty electric vehicles in real-world urban environments.
The project combines technological innovation with user needs, social readiness and business viability. Its five objectives cover people-centred innovation, wireless V2G charging, smart energy integration, interoperability and scalable deployment.
The 42-month programme will demonstrate solutions for shared mobility in Stockholm, municipal fleets in Dachau and commercial vehicles in Milan.
